Instead of gender being fluid, how about petroleum being fluid out of the ground, ocean floor, etc so we are not held hostage to tree hugger fruitcakes cutting off our energy supply. One way of looking at art is in terms of contrast. Goethe in his theory of colors emphasized contrast. The composition is balanced contrast of complementary colors in space , saturation, texture, etc. Visual forces balancing each other to make an overall pleasing effect to the eye and mind or causing an emotional response.
